To identify specific needs of industry that are appropriate for IEA PVPS to incorporate into existing task work plans, and / or could form the basis of new activities, IEA PVPS Task 1 organized the workshop IEA PVPS meets with industry - Responding to the challenges of the expanding global demand for photovoltaics on 9 June 2004, during the 19th PVSC conference in Paris.

The half-day workshop provided an opportunity for the global PV industry and other interested stakeholders to learn about recent international market, policy and production analysis performed by the IEA Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme, IEA PVPS, and for IEA PVPS to hear from these participants what they consider that an international collaborative programme could do to add value to their operations.
