Task 5 focuses on design and grid interconnection of building integrated and other dispersed photovoltaic systems The overall objective of Task 5, which was concluded in 2002, was to develop and verify technical requirements which will serve as the technical guidelines for grid interconnection with building integrated and other dispersed power systems. The development of these technical requirements include safety and reliable linkage to the electric grid at the lowest possible cost. The systems considered will be those connected with a low-voltage grid, which are typically of a size between one and fifty peak kilowatts. Its deliverables are associated in four categories:

The latest findings of the Task 5 activities were presented at the workshop "Impacts of PV Penetration in Distribution Networks" held on 24 and 25 January 2002.
