A further modification has been made to the French feed-in tariff system following an announcement by Prime Minister Villepin on 15 May.

This heralded an increase to 0,55 EUR/kWh for electricity generated from building integrated PV projects (BIPV). This rise, 60 % up on the previous tariff for industrial and public buildings which itself only came into effect at the end of March, reflects the government’s and ADEME’s (administrating agency) policy of promoting the BIPV concept.
