Abstract:	For this annual report each Executive committee members has provided a broad overview of current PV activities in his or her country. More details about PV applications in IEA countries can be found in a separate survey report published annually by Task 1 of the IEA  PVPS programme: Trends in Photovoltaic Applications in Selected IEA Countries. For the first part of this annual report the Operating Agents of the seven running Tasks have compiled reports with the results of their work in 1999, and an outlook on future activities. Special attention in this report is being paid to the third IEA Executive Conference Il Valore del Sole, which was held 3-5 November 1999, in Venice, Italy.
