| Abstract: | The rapidly increasing number of PV projects show emerging markets for grid-connected PV systems around the world. PV is starting to become a serious market. More and more, PV is being used in energy efficient buildings for its energy efficiency, ecological benefits and aesthetical pleasing appearance. Users are starting to buy small kits to power their homes with green, independent, electricity. Large PV plants are installed in fields, on large industrial roofs and along noise barriers for production of green electricity for utilities. To keep up with the demands of these new and strongly growing markets, new and innovative building products are required. The workshop was held in connection with Sustain'01-conference in Amsterdam RAI, and was sponsored by Novem and organized by Ecofys. The objective of this workshop was to address opportunities for new products on the different PV markets. The workshop was organized by IEA |
