| Abstract: | This report presents a description of the status of photovoltaic (PV)
power systems in the 20 participating countries of the IEA Photovoltaic
Power Systems Programme. A survey of the status of PV power systems applications
and markets in each country has been conducted every two years for the past
six years and biennial reports published. This third international survey
report presents an overview of PV power systems applications and markets
at the end of 1997 and analyses the trends in PV power systems implementation
