IEA Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme
- The IEA Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme (PVPS) is one of the collaborative R&D Agreements established within the IEA and, since its establishment in 1993, the PVPS participants have been conducting a variety of joint projects in the application of photovoltaic conversion of solar energy into electricity.
- The 29 PVPS members are: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, EPIA, European Union, France, Germany, International Copper Association, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, SEIA, SEPA, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States.
- How to participate?
The IEA Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme (PVPS) conducts joint projects in the application of photovoltaic conversion of solar energy into electricity. Currently seven research projects, so-called Tasks, are established within the IEA PVPS Programme.
Task 1: Exchange and dissemination of information on photovoltaic power systems
Task 8: Very large scale photovoltaic power generation systems in remote areas
Task 9: Deploying PV Services for regional development
Task 11: PV hybrid systems within mini-grids (now integrated within Task 9).
Task 12: PV environmental health and safety
Task 13: Performance and Reliability of Photovoltaic Systems
Task 14: High Penetration of PV Systems in Electricity Grids
